A rigidity truss completes the structure of the central span. The Access Viaduct, Continente Side, is divided into twelve spans supported by a concrete abutment and seven metal towers, and the one on the Ilha Side is divided into fourteen spans, also supported by a concrete abutment and seven metal towers. The viaduct spans are spanned by full web beams and/or Warren system trusses.
