Created in 2001 to help improve the health, socialization, social inclusion, autonomy and independence of people with intellectual disabilities, Associação Paradesportiva JR-SP is one more of the institutions supported by Sondotécnica.
With a focus on promoting development for physical, intellectual and social training through sport, the organization currently serves around 130 athletes aged between 6 and 68 who are dedicated to modalities such as swimming, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, futsal, athletics and dance, from initiation to high performance.
The project supported by Sondotécnica includes 70 athletes who practice artistic gymnastics, swimming and athletics and seeks to encourage and expand their participation in adapted sports, in order to improve their quality of life, self-esteem, among other fundamental factors for the integral formation of individuals.
“Throughout our history, we have always supported institutions that promote social inclusion and Associação Paradesportiva JR-SP is an example of an organization that, through sport, manages to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities. In addition to the Associação Paradesportiva JR-SP, Sondotécnica also plays its role as an agent of social transformation, financially supporting other entities and projects such as the Mano Down Institute, focused on promoting the autonomy and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and other disabilities; “Strengthening Families”, which offers help, guidance and social and family support to children and adolescents assisted by Associação Beneficente Santa Fé, in São Paulo; Instituto Reação and Froien Farain, participating in a crowdfunding campaign to set up a physiotherapy room at the institution’s headquarters.
